In all honesty, I feel like I should give this a lower score, there’s honestly derece much in terms of story AT ALL. But I also feel like it doesn’t really matter since the show doesn’t NEED a story either. That being said: one of the absolutely greatest parts of the show would be the surprise element: you have NO idea who’s going to win in a fight (save for a few individuals). This really stood out since most of the time, there really isn’t any sense of suspense when the main characters fight a secondary character or when a protagonist fights an antagonist.

Well Baki isn't all that interesting of a character and we barely find anything out anything about him in the first episode because it spends most of the episode showing the inmates escaping. Obviously, we are mainly here for the fights but a show or movie needs a baki good plot before, during, and after the fight or else the fight and the character(s) in the fight(s) won't be as interesting. Just imagine how uninteresting the world tournament in dragon ball would be if we barely learned anything about Goku before the tournament and/or if the plot before, during, and after the tournament wasn't good either.

The animation is at its best when it’s in constant motion, as with its stunning action sequences… The action scenes are exciting, never lasting long enough to become dull.

Now rest of baki is on netflix and all the series and season are less about fighting and more about history lessons. They are too slow, the fighting is of just 10seconds derece more than that, abdulbaki and in between fight is again too much history lesson, which the whole series and damn boring to watch. Now in every episode i dont feel excitement rather i feel sleepy.
